Our Story

As CEO and founder I, Yomaris will
thrive on being the bridge between the wisdom of my ancestors and a healthier
future for a growing family and community.
From my kitchen to your soul!
Let us introduce our authentic flavors with a twist to your palette.
We thrive on bringing back memories of abuelas cooking from your childhood and if not creating one for you.
Let us fulfill your cravings with our customary dishes.
We want to build a community where authenticity meets healthier decisions.

Hailing from The Bronx, Yomaris is no stranger to food deserts and the limited
healthy, culturally inclusive food choices available to the large communities. I have not only witnessed, but
I personally experienced the toll that limited food choices and education around
those limited choices have taken on the community, which is mostly populated by people of minority backgrounds.
In 2019, I began researching and recipe testing and in 2022 YoYo’s on the Go
was born! The YoYo’s on the Go menu [hotlink website], contrary to its name,
conveniently supplies culturally relevant “slow food” options to communities that
have gotten away from the practice of traditional food preparation and
consumption; YYOTG is slow-food for fast-paced lives!
At YoYoTG, we are committed to:
Supporting non-profit/family owned local and organic farmers for fresh, quality farm to table
ingredients; creating balanced meals and healthier food choices for both, mind
and body; educating consumers and community members on the holistic healing
benefits of indigenous herbs in food and drink preparation.
Incorporating items rotational in-season menu of slow-cooked foods, fresh juices,
rich desserts, and herbal teas meant to balance everything from mental clarity to
immune systems.
